Lubbock Artist Develops Site-Specifc Video App

Texas Tech Professor and painter David Chapman Lindsay has come up with a genius app for smart phones. The “Popwalk App” is basically the same premise as Pokemon Go, but where artists can create site-specific video works that will play only at that location.

Currently, in Lubbock, there are videos of artists talking about the work they made for the Texas Tech University Public Art Collection, but the app will work all over the world. Artists simply go to the Popwalk App website, upload their video to a certain location, and wait for app users to visit. So, if you’ve ever wanted to graffiti, edit, make a statement, or animate your surroundings, this is the app for you. Did we mention that it’s free?

The Popwalk App will be available for download soon!
