Funds Raised to Build Stage on LHUCA Plaza

After winning a large grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts in December 2015, The Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts recently announced through a press release that it has met and exceeded the $100,000 matching campaign to build an outdoor stage and amenities on its Plaza.

The plans include a performance stage, green room, and restrooms. Construction began earlier this month, and should be completed by August 31, 2016. Come celebrate and hear Beto and the Fairlanes (a salsa-jazz-rock band) at the free-to-the-public launch party on September 30th.
